WayaCode is OpenWaya Code: a model-independent coding agent with a CLI, Desktop app, shared Agent Core, and a planned managed Cloud runner.
Start in the terminal, keep every approval and change visible, and finish with evidence that the requested repository outcome was actually delivered.

01 / Install from source
Prepare the current CLI.
Early-access source installation requires a WayaCode checkout, Git 2.39 or newer, Node.js 22.23.2, and Bun 1.3.14.

02 / First task
Authenticate, plan, then run.
Sign in through the CLI so credentials stay in the operating-system credential vault. Do not put an OpenWaya credential in the repository or shell history.

A successful command is not delivery.
WayaCode reconciles the requested outcome, changed files, verification evidence, and review findings before assigning a terminal state.
- delivered
- The requested outcome exists and every required verification gate passed.
- incomplete
- Useful work exists, but one or more delivery criteria remain unresolved.
- blocked
- The task cannot proceed without an external decision, dependency, or authority.
- failed
- Execution ended unsuccessfully and retains evidence for diagnosis or recovery.
- cancelled
- A user or authorized controller stopped the task before delivery.

Run locally now. Move long jobs to Cloud next.
Foreground and detached execution work locally while the host remains powered and awake. Network-dependent steps also require an approved route to remain available. Sleep, hibernation, shutdown, power loss, or exiting the required Desktop service can stop local progress.

05 / Models and cost
OpenWaya is the model boundary.
WayaCode does not bind its identity to one model vendor. Agent Core selects from models available to the OpenWaya account and can assign different model profiles to discovery, implementation, and review while retaining one task history.
